Horse Powered Reading® and Horse Powered Math programs takes the learning out of the class and into the arena to harness the power of the horses integrating social-emotional learning with academics. Students see and experience reading and math with their entire mind, body and emotions by creating metaphors for the skills involved in reading and math through the horse. Issues getting in the way of academic and social emotional growth are addressed in the moment. The horse becomes a part of the learning material the student must connect with to help with phonemic awareness, decoding, vocabulary, fluency and comprehension and/or math and numeracy skills. Suitable for children, teens or clients for whom English is a second language or anyone who could use a little help from our equine gurus.​Sessions can be one on one or in small groups.
